Call to Worship Isaiah 43 And Psalm 29
We gather this morning as a people who have passed through the waters.
Baptized into Christ's death, raised to walk in newness of life.
We gather as a people who have been heard - called by name, found in the wilderness.
We are the children of the God who sees us. The God who knows our name.
Whatever story you carry into this place today; of joy or grief, of gratitude or longing
We bring it to the One who holds us.
The voice of the LORD is over the waters.
The LORD sits enthroned as King forever.
Come, let us worship the God who calls us beloved.
Let us worship God!
Hymn of Welcome #185 Jesus Loves Me
Opening Prayer
Gracious God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we come to you as we are. We bring our questions, our hopes, our weariness, and the small, stubborn faith that got us through the door this morning. Meet us here. Speak to us here. And let us leave changed by your presence. Through Christ, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Amen.
Psalm 13
Give to the LORD, you heavenly beings, give to the LORD glory and strength.
Give to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in holy splendor.
The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders - the LORD, over mighty waters.
The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.
The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox.
The voice of the LORD flashes forth flames of fire. The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
The voice of the LORD causes the oaks to whirl and strips the forest bare; and in his temple all cry, "Glory!"
The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD sits enthroned as King forever.
May the LORD give strength to his people! May the LORD bless his people with peace!
Call to Confession
Prayer of Confession (unison)
Gracious God, we confess that we have not always lived as people who know they are beloved. We have let the voice of fear drown out the voice that calls us by name. We have pulled away from the waters that could refresh us. We have looked in every direction for belonging, forgetting that we already belong to you. Forgive us. Remind us again that we are yours. Restore us to the joy of your salvation. In the name of Jesus Christ, who was baptized for us and with us. Amen.

We do, relying on God's grace.

We do, relying on God's grace.
Affirmation of the Congregation

Congregation: We do. With the help of God, we will.
Profession Of Faith
The congregation shall stand...
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
